Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 9, 2026

QuoteAmerica is committed to ensuring that quoteamerica.org is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that a comparison tool for insurance, home services and financial products has an obligation to be usable by the people who most need it.

Standard we aim for

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities.

Measures we have taken

  • Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) on every page.
  • A "skip to main content" link as the first focusable element.
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, meeting minimum contrast requirements.
  • Full keyboard operability, including the navigation menus and every step of the quote forms. No keyboard traps.
  • Form inputs with programmatically associated labels, and errors announced via aria-invalid and adjacent error text rather than color alone.
  • Text and background color combinations tested to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text.
  • Alternative text on all meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting, which disables animations and smooth scrolling.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow to a 320px viewport width without horizontal scrolling, and that tolerate 200% text zoom.
  • Touch targets sized to a minimum of 44 by 44 CSS pixels on interactive controls.

Known limitations
